1. The Dream Match
Vs. AJ Styles – Summerslam 2016
Money in the Bank will go on in history as the first time John Cena and AJ Styles as the first time they met one on one. But the ending of the match may have left a bad taste when looking back. Then they met once again at Summerslam with no interference. They sure did create magic. This match exceeded all expectations, with every wondering what would happen if Cena faced Styles.
Watching Styles beat Cena clean in the ring was something no one would ever believe in seeing. This match proved that Styles belonged in WWE and proved every doubter wrong that Styles was never going to make in the big stage of WWE.
BONUS: The Streak is Over
Vs. Baron Corbin – Summerslam 2017
After going year after year putting on some of the best matches in Summerslam history, John Cena has a fun, quick match at the 2017 edition of the event. Before this, Cena screwed Baron Corbin out of his Money in the Bank contract cash, becoming the third man who failed to cash in his contract. The biggest thing to come out of the match is that this would be the first time Cena would have a victory ending his losing streak in seven years.
2017 also was the last time Cena made an appearance at the event, and fast forward four years later Cena is back to business in one of the biggest matches of his career. Mr. Summerslam is back and is ready to steal the show one more time against the Tribal Cheif.
