25 WWE Dream Matches that never happened

Many wrestling cards are built on titanic clashes between huge names. Whether these are the biggest faces of their eras, a cross-generational clash or titanic characters facing off in dream bouts. Yet for every André vs Hogan, Rock vs Cena and Flair vs Funk – fans are always left pining for those matches that never transpired. Here are some of those contests we wish we could, but never quite got to see.

25. MJF Vs. Roddy Piper

Perhaps most obviously in a match between these two, just picture the promo battles. Both brilliant on the stick, the rabid, raw, unkempt Piper furiously yelled whilst MJF could speak meticulously for long periods, sparingly getting hot in rage.

Both too are arguably the top heels of their generation as massive heat-magnets during the rise to prominence of their respective promotions. Piper’s sheer hatred by fans for events such as shaving Haiti Kid’s head and kicking Cyndi Lauper helped justify one of wrestling’s most revolutionary moments as he was responsible for the birth of WrestleMania. MJF has become a top heel in AEW, being a huge presence on some PPVs in All Elite Wrestling’s early supercards.

Both well-protected and talented workers, a bout between these two would be one for the ages for in-ring prowess, character work and promos.
