25 WWE Dream Matches that never happened
19. The Shield Vs. Undisputed Era
It is rare that supposedly company-ruling factions are booked well – The Nexus, Dangerous Alliance and Aces & Eights have shown that if not booked right, potentially profitable and brilliant groups can fizzle out. However, both The Shield and The Undisputed Era groups are some of the greatest booked factions in WWE history.
From late 2012 to early-mid 2014, the dynamic trio were a force to be reckoned with on the main roster. Undefeated for months, they won multiple titles and got victories over John Cena, Randy Orton, Kane, Daniel Bryan, Big Show, Sheamus and more. Even after their loss, the diverse threesome would still be in top programs with the likes of Evolution. Elsewhere, The Undisputed Era may not have been on such a big stage but their domination was much longer. For over two and a half years, they were the biggest players in NXT – winning 6 titles (plus the 2018 Dusty Rhodes Classic), featuring in all male WarGames matches and main eventing many NXT TakeOvers.
With both stables having each member with individual styles, roles and abilities, it would make an interesting pairing if these two teams engaged in a huge, multi-man tag. Huge factions of the 2010s, this dream clash of stables would see the best team of the early 2010s versus the best team of the late 2010s.
