25 WWE Dream Matches that never happened
18. Batista Vs. Brock Lesnar
In what today would be more of a money match than ever, this could see one of Hollywood’s biggest acquisitions from wrestling take on one of UFC’s biggest acquisitions from wrestling.
On different brands most of their careers, they started around the same time – both debuting on WWE TV in 2002. However, Lesnar propelled up the card as a solo asset as Batista gained popularity through the Evolution stable (where he represented the future). Lesnar left in 2004, with Batista rising to superstardom afterwards, main eventing the next year’s WrestleMania. Additionally, when Batista left in 2010, it was less than 2 years later when Brock Lesnar returned.
A huge hoss battle between ‘The Animal’ and ‘The Beast’ could be entertaining still today as a hard-hitting, heavy striking brawl. However as Batista has announced he will not return and both are not full-time, it is seeming less and less likely to happen, no matter how much fans may clamour for it.
