Well, what an absolute surprise from out of nowhere, BRAVO AEW, talk about something that no one saw it coming!  This is brilliant to capitalize on Gage’s momentum and introduce the mainstream audience to proper death match wrestling and there is no one more qualified than Nick “Freakin” Gage. Not only it is a total surprise and really good booking but the story behind it with MJF bringing him in to face Jericho is genius. It gives that WOW factor while also showing MJF to be a very smart heel putting such an opponent in front of Jericho.

I am also happy for Gage to get a bit of mainstream eyes on him, although I’m not sure he will be around very long (I can hear My wrestle buddy Matty Laws screaming GWC for life Haha) but I do see this as a one maybe two shot deal.  I’m really impressed with this and so looking forward to this match next week, it would be awesome if Jericho somehow turned the tables and made MJF face Gage further down the line.

Later in the night, it was shown backstage that Jericho will be back with his Painmaker gimmick which he made it famous during his NJPW run. Next week it might be one of the most violent matches we will ever see on AEW Dynamite.
