This week’s Smackdown was all about Bianca Belair’s Homecoming and we witnessed some really surprising angles with the likes of Liv Morgan is getting a match at Extreme Rules, Apollo challenging Nakamura for the IC Title and Big E confronting Roman Reigns after winning the WWE Title at WWE RAW. Here’s the 5 biggest takeaways from this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown:

5. Are we going to see Dominik Mysterio Vs. Rey Mysterio?

This feud is like a slow burner movie, from the past few weeks we are witnessing Zayn taking shots at Rey Mysterio and beating his son Dominik Mysterio clean three straight times.

We saw that Zayn taunts Rey for being the poor coach to his son after the match. Also, Rey and Dominik have several backstage moments where we can see the disagreement between the father and son. Now, it’s the perfect time to pull the trigger on Dominik and book him as the rebellious son who will go against his father to prove himself.

4. What’s next for Naomi?

After so long finally we saw Naomi back on WWE Television but we saw at a backstage segment with Sonya Deville where she got fined by Deville for no reason. Are WWE trying to book Naomi as a babyface who will fight for her rights against the corrupt higher power or she will choose to align herself with ‘The Bloodline’? We don’t know yet.

Heyman teased in an interview that she is already a member of ‘The Bloodline’ and even fans are craving to see her as the female lead of ‘The Bloodline’ because it clearly makes sense. Now, we just have to wait and see how WWE will book this angle.

3. Kevin Owens & Happy Corbin should become a tag team.

We really don’t know what WWE wants to do with this feud. When Corbin was suffering with financial crisis we saw that Owens helped him once and even saved him from Ziggler and Roode & it was looking like they’ll become some sort of unlikely tag partners.

But now when Corbin became Happy Corbin, still they’re just having some random segments and matches. Now, it’s time to book these both as a tag team to give both of this amazing guys a booking with direction because since when Owens lose to Reigns earlier this year, his booking is just directionless. He feuded with Zayn in a lacklustre feud and now he really needs something or maybe he’ll get drafted to RAW in the upcoming WWE Draft.

2. Seth Rollins Vs. Edge at Wrestlemania 38?

This is the best thing going on at WWE Smackdown right now. Seth Rollins and Edge are just stealing the show every single week and the two matches they had are the perfect example of an instant classic. Last week we witnessed Rollins beating Edge and The Rated R Superstar got stretchered out of the arena.

Rollins came out dripped down in his shiny suit and he literally nailed it with his awesome promo. It’s pretty certain that Edge is out of action for several months as his contract allows him to wrestle 5 times a year and he already wrestled 5 matches this year. We predict that Edge will be the surprise entrant at Royal Rumble 2022 and eliminate Rollins and set up their final encounter at Wrestlemania 38.

1. Typical WWE style Homecoming

This week’s entire episode was booked around the homecoming of Bianca Belair and it was a typical WWE style homecoming where the hometown favorite came down to the ring and got beaten up by their opponent.

The surprise element of this homecoming was Kane introduces Bianca to the crowd and then Bianca came out with a huge ovation from the crowd but then WWE Smackdown Womens’s Champion Becky Lynch (Drip Queen of Smackdown ATM) interrupted her and attacks her. Becky is killing it in her heel persona and we are set to see a stellar match between Becky and Biance at Extreme Rules but the build-up of this feud is pretty lacklustre.
