Listen for the record. I do want all wrestling promotions to succeed! If we’re being honest, All-Elite Wrestling is good at overhyping their negative 10-star gimmick matches that make no sense whatsoever. Instead of featuring FTR, Danielson, & the true main-event stars, Tony Khan can’t help but let Matt & Nick Jackson, Kenny Omega, Adam Page, & all-exclusive stop any meaningful progress that benefits this company! Unfortunately, these individuals aren’t the only ones ruining wrestling for those who care for it. Now, I understand why Cody Rhodes left the circus to these EVPs! The lack of dependable stories stops any momentum.

No more sugarcoating opinions relating to immediate silliness. Viewers, it’s hard narrowing everything down here.

Top 5 embarrassing AEW matches;

Kenny Omega getting electrocuted by Jon Moxley

1. Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch-also Exploding Ring.

AEW World Heavyweight Championship Match-Jon Moxley versus (C) Kenny Omega from AEW Revolution 2021:

Quick recap; no logical storytelling was present throughout. Mox & Omega used barbed wire and tables with ring ropes that sparked. I came away thinking I was in an unnecessary modern-day remake of Twilight Zone. Spoiler this turned out horrible. The ending just corrupted the whole terrifying concept. Even famed film director John Carpenter would reject the idea. Rob Zombie said no regarding a remake. Mick Foley & Terry Funk want some respect back. There will be blood mixed with stupidity, don’t you worry. So, Moxley is handcuffed & helpless & Eddie Kingston emerges to assist his friend Moxley as he shields Mox, using his body only for the big explosion to be less than impressive. AEW fans shouted we want a refund after witnessing such senseless madness. What a freakin’ classic! Flair & Steamboat are proud.

2. The Painmaker Chris Jericho versus Nick Gage on AEW Dynamite- The End of No Rules Match!

Nick Gage shredding Jericho’s forehead like pepperoni

AEW Fight for the Fallen 2021 brought us something forgettable. Somebody better call Pizza Hut because some gimmick infringement is happening in this Hall of Fame-worthy bout. Gage gets sent into broken glass thanks to a Frankensteiner by Jericho. Did I say spot fest extravaganza here? Chris wrestled Nick’s style of match. The result is not pleasing to any wrestling fan. Watching deathmatch wrestling reminds me of desiring to bang my head against a wall. One positive MJF was on commentary. Spectators saw light tubes & a pizza cutter straight from the catering backstage. Domino’s wanted that back, people like pepperoni, not Gage cutting Jericho with it. The Painmaker won pardon, do not care.

3. The Road Ranger Street Fight Tag-Team Title Match 2021: The Young Bucks against Eddie Kingston & Penta

The Young Bucks super kick Eddie Kingston

A supposed street fight transpired between the flippy brothers & a dream team consisting of Kingston & Penta. Confetti filled the ring. What did somebody have a birthday celebration? Please, forgive me as we are the self-proclaimed best tag team in professional wrestling, “ The Young Bucks, “ consistently making everything about them & I’m surprised by these shenanigans. Brandon Cutler reminds me of the great personalities who graced ringside. What’s his purpose, annoy that watch? Frankie Kazarian did us all a favor by power bombing him through a table. Thank you, Frankie, for your service. I missed the days when finishers won matches like a superkick. Matt & Nick, Shawn Michaels called & wants you to stop misusing the Superkick just because it allows you both to stroke your unbearable egos. They won the match, and everyone was shocked. Another observation is if an opponent takes a pile driver & he miraculously gets up to be super kicked. What’s the point of hitting this before?

4. TNT Championship Match- (C) Wardlow versus Orange Cassidy-Fyter Fest 2022

Orange Cassidy & Wardlow show respect to each other

A Great way to make a future main-event star look ridiculous. Orange Cassidy opposing Will Ospreay at Forbidden Door grabbed headlines. Orange is a heralded all-star after that performance. Yeah, I’ve tried on the pocket guy who kicks and makes no contact. Sure he can execute fancy moves & in the words of Shania Twain’s famous song, “ That Don’t Impress Me Much! “ Poor Wardlow, earth to Tony Khan. Why screw up a good thing? Here lies my issue with AEW! I understand Cassidy needed to get away from this massive man. Let me clarify by stating; that Wardlow should’ve crushed him & it’s finished. One of your champions cannot be allowing Cassidy to get this much offense. The problem was that the match went too long. Wardlow did win & retained the title.

5. Eddie Kingston against The Painmaker Chris Jericho-Barbed Wired Everywhere DeathMatch/ Fyter Fest 2022

Kingston sends Jericho into the barbed wire table

Can anyone educate me on the apparent love affair involving barbed wire death matches? From my perspective, what a waste of time on a wrestling program. People will say Kingston versus Painmaker Jericho keeps fans engaged. Their feud possesses inspiring storytelling. My rebuttal would be, what are you watching? Eddie delivers good promos. Is he a good wrestler that is still up for debate? Jericho may be a big name but does maintain star status as before. Well, he’s proving his critics right by putting himself in these bad matches. Eddie’s suffering from such gimmicky contests also. Why overthink logic, and keep things basic & fundamental? No need for flashy nonsensical type wrestling that is anything but wrestling realistically.

AEW quit retaining these silly gimmick matches that lack organization and real credible issues.
