3. King Of The Mountain
Through the different pay per view trials that Impact have done Slammiversary has always remained there every year. However from 2004-2009 a staple of the Slammiversary pay per views was always The King Of The Mountain Match. It’s got it’s lovers and haters but personally I’ve always found it unique match and always enjoyed it.
It was briefly brought back between 2015-2016 when the King of the Mountain Title was around but that was the last we saw of it. Again that was in 2016 and that was before we had this current management/creative team in too so it would be interesting to see what they could do with the match. It’s also interesting as it has been brought up a few times recently on Impact and in the past it’s not always been for the world title also, you’ve had the X Division wrestlers use the KOTM match you’ve had the match used for the KOTM title when it was around, it could be utilised in many different ways on a yearly basis for that magic moment on Slammiversary (or any other PPV).
