1. Tag Team Gauntlet
Over time we’ve seen hundreds of gauntlet/rumble matches and most of them are pretty similar, however at No Surrender 2007 we saw something a little different. We often see tag teams in gauntlets and they’ll come in and work together however this was specifically a tag team gauntlet. It still played out the same, one man in at a time (and obviously when your partner came in you got an advantage) but it wasn’t until both team members were thrown out of the ring that the team were eliminated. When the final two men were left, the partners would come back out and it would become a one on one tag match.
I’m really surprised this has only been done once in the companies history, especially when you look back at the last couple of years when Impact’s tag team division was red hot and so full of talent, it would have been the ideal match to showcase them. Hopefully we see this make a second appearance and maybe a few more appearances once Impact fill their tag Division out, but this is one that I’ve been calling for now for a very long time to make a return.
