4. Ace Austin
To me Ace Austin is the definition of someone who is lost or just running around in circles. Ace is a real throwback to guys like AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Matt Bentley (just to name a few) and in time Ace can be one of those guys who I can really see be at the top of the card and be an option to build the company around (and be a triple crown winner like 2 of the previous 3 names).
At this present time however Ace is in the X division, this is a somewhat familiar place for him though as back in March he was holding the championship for the second time, he would the lose it and he and Falton would challenge for the tag titles (unsuccessfully). Now Ace is back in the X title picture and to add to that he has the Super X cup still giving him an automatic cash in for the X Title, it really feels like it’s a spinning your wheels scenario when it comes to Ace being stuck in the X Division.
When Ace lost the X title that would have been the perfect opportunity to transition him (and Falton) into the tag team division again, it’s been nearly 6 months since they were in the tag division and Impact need a few tag teams so it would have freshened things up.
I’d say Madman Fulton is the one lacking direction over Ace Austin. But the argument would be pretty much the same, there was a break through in the tag division, alongside Ace Austin he’s a former AAW Tag Champion, winning it last year only recently losing it.
There’s a slow build around Ace Austin & right now he’s also got commitments outside wrestling, so this is why he’s not got the X-Division title now.
Shera is another but, career wise he’s building that at OVW & Impact Wrestling is his place to take it easy.
