When you think of the Impact Knockouts Tag Team titles, fans of the original run would think of The Beautiful People, Awesome Kong and Hamada or Sarita and Taylor Wilde. Taylor was a big part of the original incarnation (as well as the start of Knockouts Division itself), however her recent return TO Impact Wrestling never quite captured the same magic that she had in her original Knockout run. This lead to it being difficult to find that same connection that the ultimate underdog of The Knockouts had back in 2008.

When you talk about underdogs and constantly fighting to have their talents recognised, then who currently in the Knockouts Division fits that mould better than Alisha Edwards? Alisha is someone who since coming into Impact Wrestling back in 2017 has improved herself and grown in every aspect. Her character and in ring work have moved on so much from where it started, plus she is someone who knows how to get the crowd behind her.

In November we heard that Taylor Wilde was (temporally) no longer with Impact, however the door would always be open for her to return in the future. If she does then the ultimate underdog Knockouts Tag Team could very well be born and it would be perfect. It will give Alisha that direction that she needs, also you need your face team to go against your heel team and who are bigger babyfaces in the Knockouts than Alisha Edwards and Taylor Wilde?
