We are a few weeks past the WWE Draft and in my opinion, the rosters got a much-needed overhaul. Austin Theory and Gunther for instance were two people that exhausted their feuds on their respective brands and needed a change and it will benefit both of them greatly. There were a bunch of other superstars that needed a fresh start too. The good thing about fresh starts is fresh feuds so what I’m going to do is give you the top 5 feuds that I want to see happen on Monday Night Raw now that the draft rosters have become official. Let’s get it going.
5. JD McDonagh vs Finn Balor
This match happened years ago in NXT UK and it would be a damn good feud on Monday Night Raw. Easy, Judgment Day sick of Balor losing replaces him with the up-and-coming McDonagh causing Finn to go babyface (which is way better suited for him IMO), and boom there it is. The matches would be bangers and the build-up between the two would be just as good. The contrast of styles the two have would be great too. This feud is a must for Monday Night Raw and I really hope we see it soon.
4. Imperium vs The New Day
Yes, I am hoping the rumors of Big E returning at some point are true because Big E vs Gunther would slap hard. This would be a feud that could legitimize Imperium as a tag team as much as Gunther already is as IC Champion. The New Day is one of the best factions/tag teams in wrestling history and a summer-long feud between these groups would do good things for both. The future is bright for all three members of the Imperium IMO regardless, a solid feud with them going over The New Day might make that future sooner rather than later.
3. Cody Rhodes vs Sami Zayn
Yes, I’m aware both men are beloved babyfaces and on top of their game right now. But do we believe at some point in time Sami isn’t going to be like: “Hey Cody, remember when you stole my Wrestlemania spot and lost to Roman?” Let’s be clear: This year’s main event spot against Roman Reigns should have been Sami Zayn’s. I don’t know how or why or even if you have to turn one heel but this is a feud that is way to obvious not to happen. It would make wrestling fans choose a side and make for some damn good television and promos. Not to mention the matches this program would produce. Think about it, think about it again. Trust me you want this feud as bad as I do, you just might not know it yet.
2. Becky Lynch vs Rhea Ripley
This is a feud WWE seemingly has teased in the past and hopefully with the Becky Lynch vs Trish Stratus feud coming to an end at WWE Night of Champions I feel this is where WWE should go next. I know Becky has stated she wants to win Money in the Bank but how about her confronting Rhea telling her she’s going to win and have Rhea cost her and using every dirty tactic she can to keep Lynch out of the title picture but somehow Becky gets a title match and we are off. These are two of the best women on the mic in the business and Rhea’s growth both in the ring and on the mic over the last year has been incredible. This feud would most likely headline Monday Night Raw due to the star power involved and this would do wonders for Rhea working a strong program with a certified star like Becky Lynch. Becky vs Mami lets book it.
1. Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre
This is a feud that should be the first one Seth has after he wins the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Drew McIntyre returning as a HEEL (HE’S SO MUCH BETTER AS A HEEL) attacking Seth and setting up this feud which would be great possibly setting up a match at Summerslam between the two. With rumors of Drew possibly leaving WWE would be smart to utilize him to the fullest just in case he does leave and also spotlighting him in a main event feud could lead to The Scottish Warrior wanting to stay with WWE. This feud could carry Monday Night Raw through the summer and set up what should be an interesting Road to Wrestlemania for both these men assuming Drew is around at that time.
