At Slammiversary we saw Josh Alexander prevail in Ultimate X. This was one hell of a match and in becoming victorious over Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Rohit Raju, Trey Miguel and Petey Williams, this win (as Josh said himself) puts him at as the king of the mountain and as the cream of the crop for the X Division.
This begs the question then who can take the title from Josh? If we believe that Josh has managed to beat all 5 men that were in this match at Slammiversary, then that would mean that they’ve had their shot. So if they’re all out then who could be next to step up to the plate, and more importantly who may have the chance to win?
5. Deaner
Since we saw The Deaners split and the formation of Violent By Design, we’ve really began to see a new lease of life in Deaner, what he is capable of is much more clearly on display now too.
Everything about Deaner now from his altered style to his look really gives him more of a presence when you’re in the ring with him. A presence is something that the entirety of VBD have yet since losing the Tag Titles, it strangely something feels like some of it is missing. If the X Title that built Impact was to belong to VBD that would be something.
