2. Mickie James
We’ve seen over the past few weeks that Mickie James has been turning up to Impact Wrestling to hype up NWA Empower. We’ve also seen Mickie introduce other NWA wrestlers as challengers to Deonna which leads Mickie into that kind of manager role.
The thing is that the longer this goes on and the more challengers that Mickie lines up (and the more Deonna knocks down), you have to feel in time Mickie will step up to challenge Deonna. Mickie would be a very interesting choice to take the title from Deonna as she is in a way a TNA original. Awesome read. For me Kimber Lee or Tasha Steelz (assuming she’s not thrust back to Tag Team wrestling again now Kiera Hogan is gone) are the two choices. Taylor Wilde & Tennile Dashwood hovering in mists of unlikely wild cards whilst Chelsea Green, Su Yung or Britt Baker be the ultimate upsets.
Great as Deonna Purrazzo is, I really hope she doesn’t dethrone Taya Valkyrie’s record as longest reigning Knockouts Champion. Hoping for a big surprise at Bound For Glory.
