At Hard To Kill Impact Wrestling saw the debut of Honor No More, they showed up after the great war and laid waste to everyone and everything who was in their path. Since then they have continued to create chaos and havoc in any form that they are able to.
With Matt Taven and Maria Kanellis carrying most of the promo work, they able to produce themselves very well as an irritating and annoying unite, yet in a very good way. With Vincent and PCO playing the freaks perfectly well, this group has pretty much everything to make it something special.
We saw Kenny King make his return to Impact and join the group last week, with Honor No More adding another notch to their members belt, you wonder who else could turn up or more importantly, if someone may be pulling the strings from the background? With this thought lets have a look a few names who could possibly lead a faction such as Honor No More?
5. Jonathan Gresham
Along with the Honor No More faction, Impact also saw the debut of Jonathan Gresham at Hard To Kill. Gresham has been defending his ROH World Championship on Impact against talent like Chris Sabin and Steve Maclin. With everything we’ve seen from Gresham he has truly felt like a member of the Impact roster.
Gresham himself has stated that he has no alignment with the group “Honor No More.” Gresham is someone who lives by the code of honor and wants to defend Ring Of Honor under pure rules and under respect. This is something we’ve seen in all of his matches in and out of Impact Wrestling.
There have been a few times where Honor No More have progressed towards Gresham, yet Gresham seems to want nothing to do with them. Could this all be misdirection however and the inside man is actually Gresham? Whoever is revealed (assuming someone is) as the leader of Honor No More, would need to be someone important, and who better than the ROH World Champion?
4. Davey Richards
Since Honor No More have entered into Impact Wrestling, we have seen team Impact doing all they can to fend them off. The Impact forces are being lead by Chris Sabin and Eddie Edwards, who are also joined by Josh Alexander, Heath, Rhino Willie Mack and Rick Swann.
Team Impact looks strong and are always looking to put up a fight, however one underling story that looks to be sizzling away is around Eddie Edwards. Many feel that we could see a heel turn from Eddie join Honor No More, while this looks like it could happen on the surface, it also seems like it’s being made a little too obvious.
Eddie and Davey were both mainstays in Ring Of Honor for a good 6 years and were a big part of there tag team division. As good as Eddie is in the ring however, his mic work is still not strong enough to lead a faction. Davey however does have that ability and if we see Team Impact lead by Eddie and Honor No More lead by Davey, that could lead to some very interesting moments.
3. Moose
Since winning the Impact World Heavyweight Title at Bound For Glory, Moose has shown that he’s happy to do whatever he needs to do in order to remain champion. While still looking like a strong champion, Moose knows (especially after the last couple of years) that you can’t always win pretty.
We’ve recently seen Moose take advantage of Morrissey when he faced The Learning Tree. That may go somewhere or it may not, however it shows Moose can use people to his own advantage. When you have a group like Honor No More looking to create havoc and a champion who wants to keep his title, the two can match together nicely.
Mike Bennett was someone who actually brought Moose into Impact also, the two of them have a big history and it could be easily rekindled. If there’s one former Ring Of Honor wrestler on the Impact Wrestling roster who could be affiliated with Honor No More, it could definitely be Moose.
2. EC3
When you look at what EC3 has done to his character in the last couple of years, you have to say it’s certainly something special and different. It’s also something that keeps you on your toes as you really feel like EC3 could turn up anywhere (and realistically he could take over, anywhere he turns up with Control Your Narrative).
When you look at what EC3 has been doing (and saying), you have to say it’s not too dissimilar from Honor No More have been up to. Especially if you listen to the Promo from Kenny King this past week where he said “we were lied to, we were made to believe that honor was real.” “Honor’s about as real in pro wrestling as it is in politics.” That could very well have been an EC3 promo, however it was said by Kenny King.
Control Your Narrative continues to grow every single week, more and more wrestlers seem to join the Narrative or just be affiliated with it. There is always the possibility that Honor No More is an affiliation of Control Your Narrative? It’s unlikely we see The entirety of Control Your Narrative join this group however EC3 as Honor No More’s leader would be pretty perfect given what EC3 has been calling for as well as Honor No More themself?
1. Samoa Joe
When you speak of wrestlers who cut their teeth in Ring Of Honor and made an impact while they were there, Samoa Joe is certainly one of those names. Through his 6 year stay in ROH he became a ROH Pure Chmpion as well as ROH World Champion.
With such credentials as Joe has, he is someone who could very easily stand at the top of the pile in a Ring Of Honor faction. When you add in the Honor No More name too, that could easily apply to Samoa Joe also.
We have sadly seen how Joe has been back and forth with the WWE and seemingly treated with no honor, you could also say the same about how he left TNA back in 2015? However someone with a chip on their shoulder, who has ties to both Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling would be very fitting as the leader of a faction called Honor No More in Impact Wresting.
