4. Wesley Blake & Buddy Matthews
Both Blake and Matthews have a history of being a unit back from their time in NXT. They had tag team success by winning Tag Team gold and were incredibly resilient as a tag team (they have the second longest rein in the history of the belts). However both men have also strived onwards also.
Matthews is someone who’s name has been thrown around a lot and even Scott D’Amore himself dropped a hint a while back to him maybe showing up. He is someone who could fit into any company and really any division. Blake has that more misfit feel to him, as someone who had the mat pulled from underneath him. This is the kind of person that Impact regularly seeks out.
Both of these talents could very easily show up at Bound for Glory either on their own or together. The Call Your Shot Gauntlet is the obvious spot, or maybe the tag team title match? However The X division Title match may be the one to watch. Given Steve Maclin is in that match, who Blake also has history with (they did tease the word Forgotten at Slammiversary afterall), there is the option we could see this word “Mayhem” Maclin has been talking about become a group?
