5 Takeaways From AEW Dynamite (July 7th 2021)
Andrade Makes A Splash
After Vickie Guerrero’s big announcement was interrupted a couple of weeks ago when Matt Sydal made his entrance, it seemed as though a match would be set up from the subtle move. Guerrero’s screams were redeemed this week when (as announced last week) Andrade took on Sydal, getting a decisive and emphatic win over the former Evan Bourne.
Overall, his presentation was not too dissimilar to his time in WWE as he had a similar attire and finisher, a finisher not-so-creatively called El Idolo. Andrade El Idolo was presented as a businessman with little focus other than getting the work done and emerging victorious.
It seems he could climb up the card quickly in AEW, whilst trying to avoid being overshadowed by new prospects in the company.
