Returning back to their Wednesday spot, this week’s AEW Dynamite was one of the strongest shows in many weeks. The last ever event to be held in Daily’s Place, we saw an emotional tribute package to the arena where AEW paid their respects to a location where they further developed and improved their name with iconic moments. The end of an era, we leave Daily’s Place where AEW has seen the Brodie Lee Tribute Show, Kenny Omega’s historic AEW title win, Christian’s AEW debut, the Lights Out match, appearances for multiple celebrities and so much more.

Outside of this, we saw many segments built towards next week’s Miami Dynamite show, Road Rager and AEW’s next PPV, All Out. We saw Jungle Boy become the first to garner 50 wins in AEW and Miro retain his AEW TNT title against Brian Pillman Jr., however let us look at what else we learned going forward from this week’s Dynamite.

Huge AEW Tag Title Match Set

This week, after having both of their respective tag partners taken out by The Young Bucks, Eddie Kingston and Penta El Zero Miedo formed a mish-mash alliance to wrestle Matt and Nick Jackson. The Jacksons – who this week grew facial hair to further get heat from the crowd – put a possible tag title match on the table for their opponents, with a win for the Kingston/Pentagon team meaning the duo would get a title bout the next week at AEW Dynamite: Road Rager. In front of an electric crowd, the oddball team got the win, the first team to beat The Young Bucks in a traditional tag bout in nearly a year.

The match saw many shenanigans as is their modus operandi, with interference from The Good Brothers and Brandon Cutler thwarted by ‘The Elite Hunter’ Christopher Daniels. The team got such a win with a Package Piledriver/Spinning Backfist combination to put down Nick Jackson for the 3-count.

It seems unlikely that the unestablished duo will snatched the tag belts off of The Bucks with more certified groups in line, but it is certainly a bout filled with talent. I guess we will have to see what AEW have planned next week.
