5 Takeaways from AEW Dynamite (June 4th 2021)
We look at what we learned from Dynamite (June 4th).
Future Star: Jungle Boy
When we look at the future stars of AEW, few stand out as much as Jungle Boy aka Jack Perry. Having previously proved himself in big-time bouts against Jon Moxley and Darby Allin, he won the Casino Battle Royal at Double Or Nothing (last eliminating Christian Cage) to get a future shot at the AEW champion.
With one eye on Kenny Omega’s belt, he teamed up with ally Christian to take on ‘Big Money’ Matt Hardy’s Private Party. JB proved exactly why he is such a prospect in this match; showing his technical ability, fast offence and agility. This bout was a showcase for Perry, with him eventually getting Marq Quen in the Snare Trap and forcing a tap out.
Jungle Boy will battle Kenny Omega for his AEW world title soon, but no matter the outcome, it seems almost inevitable that he will soon become one of AEW’s top wrestlers, coming out of the match almost undoubtedly the loser but having garnered even more credibility.
