5 Takeaways from AEW Dynamite (June 4th 2021)
We look at what we learned from Dynamite (June 4th).
Comoroto Is A Monster
If there is one thing AEW definitely has, it is distinctive, killer looks. From Abadon to The Blade to Brian Cage, the company has many characters and yet Nick Comoroto still stands out amongst these.
This week, he took on Dustin Rhodes in an NWA throwback, a Bull Rope match (in which Dustin has a 13-1 history). Although Comoroto did not win, he certainly showed he could fill a great role in that of an unkempt, wild brawler. With a bulky physique and mad beard, he conjures up images of Bruiser Brody, as an unstoppable, unpredictable beast – a role Brodie Lee had until his timely passing in late 2020. Comoroto drew blood in the bout, ruthlessly continuing to fight devoid of his state, even powerbombing Dustin through a table.
Overall, The Factory’s powerhouse hoss has a throwback look, similar to Billy Jack Haynes. He fills a classic wrestling role as a dominant wall of strength that has to try to be chopped down by the heroic challenger. Going forward, I think there is a lot in store for Comoroto as a bright future seems afoot.
