As we hit another new year you always have to ask yourself if there will be any changes afoot? With this year especially being extra special for Impact Wrestling with it being their 20th anniversary, you have too feel Impact would have something special up there sleeve?

We have seen a lot happen over the last couple of years when it comes to directions on screen as well as off, everything Impact are currently doing is incredibly positive and every step they’re taking may only look small, however they’ll get you to big places (you don’t want to jump in feet first and sink).

With Impact putting such a great PPV on at the beginning of the month called Hard To Kill, then following it up with a cracking Impact On AXS, you wonder what more we could see through this year? There’s a lot more Impact have stored away in there locker and the product can only grow, here’s a few things that Impact may give to us in 2022?

Over the last couple of years we have really seen Impact Wrestling burst the forbidden door wide open, they have made connections with NJPW, AAA, NWA, ROH, AEW, and now WWE. Working with 6 different promotions in 18 months is incredibly impressive and you have to wonder where they’ll end up next?

Different relationships are obviously going to be stronger than others (you feel NJPW is the strongest), overall though Impact are building bridges and relationships with so many different companies. This is something so important and ironically something that has hurt them in the past (by burning bridges with companies). Impact on screen know how to do the long term story telling and under this management they can plan for the future like no one else behind the scenes also.

You have to wonder with all of these connections that Impact are building up, will it be leading anywhere? We’ve already seen Moose appear on AEW competing for the Impact World Championship, The Good Brothers appear on NJPW Resurgence and Mickie James will be appearing in the Royal Rumble as the Impact Knockouts World Champion. Impact have had many talents from other promotions appear on their PPV’s, however you do wonder if in time we will see a big event where everyone will be a part of. If Impact have a hand in it, it feels like this will be the year it could happen?
