3. Rebirth of the Digital Media Title

Leading up to Bound For Glory, Impact Wrestling announced that they would be introducing a brand new title to the company called The Digital Media Title. This was a welcome sight with so many wrestlers seemingly stuck between a rock and a hard place in the middle of the card, plus Impact were really taking advantage of their inter-gender matches as well as their digital media platforms (hence the name).

Since Bound For Glory however we have not seen a huge amount of time dedicated to The Digital Media Championship. Jordynne Grace has held the title for 3 months now but there haven’t been any real storylines or feuds to get us interested in the title. Because of this there is a slight lack of connection with the title because it just feels like a prop at the moment and sadly it has the ability to be something more.

This past week we saw Matt Cardona come out and challenge Jordynne Grace, they still have a few weeks until No Surrender so there’s a chance we could see something build up towards there There is also the possibility we could see Impact put it as one of their Digital Media matches, which originally felt like they’d be exclusive to the DMC however know are matches from independent shows. With it being on the social media it has a lot of weight on it’s shoulders to make people interested in Impact, so hopefully we see a change in The Digital Media Championship going forward in 2022 and it can be something we care about.
