3. Khan wanted to make Goldberg a TOP star in AEW

Tony Khan loves pro wrestling from a very young age and he’s a die hard fan of some of the legends. Khan’s company caters the hardcore wrestling fans and you’ll be really surprised to know that Khan wanted to make WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg as a top star for AEW and recreate his famous WCW 173-0 streak at AEW.

When Goldberg was free agent, Goldberg and AEW followed each other and Khan having kind words about the legend in interviews. An agreement was never made and it likely worked out better for both sides. Just imagine the outrage from wrestling fans if this happened.

The article says Jim Cornette said AEW wanted Goldberg to come in and recreate the streak he had in WCW.
