WWE introduced this match back in 1997 to end one of the most iconic feuds between Undertaker and Shawn Michaels and the match ended with one of the most iconic moments in the WWE history when we saw the debut of Undertaker’s brother Kane. Later, this match will become one of the most brutal matches in WWE history which was used to end rivalries.
From when WWE enters the PG Era HIAC matches just became a gimmick PPV with no proper storyline and we saw multiple HIAC matches in one night. This year is the first time ever that WWE is holding HIAC PPV in June and there are some pretty good storylines going on which could culminate on the event. 15. D Generation X Vs. The McMahons & The Big Show – Unforgiven 2006
The Number 15 spot belongs to one of the bloodiest Hell in a Cell matches in WWE history.
DX re-united in the mid 2006 and it was one of the most memorable moments in the WWE history. DX then faced Spirit Squad at Vengeance 2006 and after burying the entire stable. DX continues to make fun of Vince McMahon and gave us the funniest moments and impersonations in the history of pro wrestling. After beating the McMahons at SummerSlam 2006, McMahons brought the ECW Champion Big Show on their side and they all brutally attacked the DX in an episode of RAW and Vince book this match at Unforgiven.
This was a 2 on 3 handicap match and every single person in the match was bleeding profusely.. But the match was too long and there were silly spots during the match and it was the end of a long rivalry in a setting that promotes violence. Part of the story was humiliation, which is why they did the spot with Vince getting his head shoved into Big Show’s ass. The crowd loved that moment.
