5 Takeaways From AEW Dynamite (July 28th)
Coming off from Fyter Fest, this week we saw the start of Fight For The Fallen 2021. In this, we saw the hugely-anticipated Dark Order vs The Elite 10-man tag match on top of the 2nd labor of Jericho where he faced deathmatch megastar and GCW star Nick Gage and the big Pinnacle vs Inner Circle match of FTR vs Proud and Powerful.
The Elite Get The Win
Much to the heartbreak of many fans, The Dark Order did not quite manage to overcome The Elite.w
The match did seem unpredictable as The Elite had been largely protected and champions rarely lose. Page came out with The Dark Order in a great show of solidarity and was presented as a huge star, getting a montserous pop from the crowd. The Elite instead decided to try to draw heel heat by coming out in NBA-themed attires.
In the end, it came down to Page and Omega who had had zero physical interaction since their match at Full Gear last year. However, further continuing the spiraling faith he has, Omega again defeated Page – perhaps showing ‘Hangman’ is still a failure who cannot be a top guy. This will hopefully delay the storyline for many more months to give it further time to progress to lengthen out the storyline.
