Eric Bischoff praised AEW and calls it better than WWE

Eric Bischoff is a pro wrestling legend. He was the one who make WCW a tough competition in front of pro wrestling juggernaut WWE. He recently spoke to Tony Khan in his podcast 83 weeks and gives an honest opinion that why AEW is better than WWE.
Bischoff said that when he was working under WWE, he watched AEW along with the WWE writers. He also said that he watched NXT and AEW side by side and he felt that AEW is a superior product in comparison to WWE.
“One of the things that I think has distinguished your show from anybody else’s, even when I was in WWE last year when you guys debuted, I sat and watched both shows side by side, NXT and AEW, and clearly I was working in WWE at the time, and I was actually watching it in the writer’s conference room with a bunch of other writers, and one of the first things I noticed, is that you’re handling your production so much better.”
Bischoff also praised AEW and said that it feels more real than WWE and while watching AEW he felt that he’s watching a live show, however after COVID-19 pandemic, both AEW and WWE are doing tapings and not running live shows.
“Your show feels more like live TV to me because, don’t take this the wrong way please, I mean this as a compliment, but your show feels gritty enough to convince me it’s live. You don’t strive to be so perfect that you lose that sense of live energy. It just feels gritty enough that I believe it.”
Earlier, Bischoff was brought back by WWE as Executive Director of Smackdown. But after few months he got fired from this position and Bruce Prichard takes over his position.
