Apollo Crews reportedly tested positive for coronavirus

WWE United States champion Apollo Crews was set to defend his title against MVP at Extreme Rules last night, but he didn’t appeared at the event. MVP came out and won the match by forfeit and became new US Champion.

According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio, Crews has been tested positive for coronavirus. Meltzer confirmed that the rumors about the COVID-19 tests circulating on the absence of Crews at Extreme Rules are true.

“So Apollo Crews was COVID. People have been suspecting it, and it was.”

WWE announced that he got injured by the hands of Lashley and Crews had suffered a bulging disc in his back due to Lashley’s Full Nelson. He has not been seen on the WWE television since 29th June.

However, Crews replied to MVP on twitter after the event and he promised to return once he is fully recovered. You can check out the tweet below:
