We are finally almost upon Triple H’s first main roster “Premium Live Event” since he’s been in charge of creative and he has put together one hell of a card. For the first time in a while it feels like Roman Reigns epic title run could come to an end. You got Seth vs Riddle which will be great, Gunther vs Sheamus, the 6 woman tag and much more. This is an event I’m looking forward to honestly because it’s loaded and I can sit down Saturday at 1 PM and watch it. I love day time events. But enough talk. Here are my picks and predictions for the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event.
Judgment Day vs Edge & Rey Mysterio
Winner: Judgment Day
Dominick Mysterio heel turn time. This is the perfect time for this. Did you see on RAW where he just gave the kendo stick to Rhea. Did you see how he said he thought this match was a family thing when asking Rey why he chose Edge? It’s happening baby. There is no chance Judgment Day loses this match. Since the change at the top of the company Judgment Day have gotten back all the momentum they were losing and have become a huge part of Raw. This is going to set up the ineveitable Edge vs Balor match I would assume that happens at Hell in a Cell but this match should be good as well. When legends like Edge and Mysterio are in the ring with future stars like Balor and Priest how can you complain? Judgment Day wins and leaves with a new member.
Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Asuka vs Damage CTRL
Winners: Damage CTRL
Bayley gets a dirty handed win and pins Belair which sets up the inevitable Raw Women’s Championship match between the two. This match has potential to be very good as these are 6 of the best athletes the WWE Women’s division has to offer. I expect Kai and Sky to be featured alot and WWE making it a priority to make them look good in this match. Everything between these 6 women has been good so far so I don’t expect this match to be any different. Damage CTRL gets a huge win in the UK.
Intercontinental Championship: (c) Gunther vs Sheamus
Winner: Gunther
First off I do expect Gunther to hold this title for a long time so this is no knock on Sheamus because to quote him this match is going to be an absolute “banger” and probably steal the show. I expect this to be physical as hell, hard hitting and hard to watch at times. These two guys are going to beat the living hell out of each other and I expect Gunther to be standing when it’s over. After the match I do expect “Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne to step to Gunther and they can rekindle that rivalry from NXT UK. That would be huge in front of the UK crowd and we all know that the Butch gimmick didn’t fit Dunne at all. I predict this is match of the night with Gunther retaining.
WWE Smackdown’s Women Championship: (c) Liv Morgan vs Shayna Bayzler
Winner: Liv Morgan
I like Liv, I like Shayna and I can tolerate Ronda but I don’t care about this feud or match. I honestly couldn’t tell you why. This match should be fine. I don’t see them taking the belt off Liv yet and for some reason I keep feeling a returning Charlotte becomes the one to win it. I mean doesn’t she always. I just don’t have high expectations for this. Liv retains and hopefully moves on to a more interesting feud.
Riddle vs Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Winner: Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Another potential show stealer. These two guys might give Gunther and Sheamus a run for their money. This feud has been building for a few months now and we finally get the one on one match. This match to me is a toss up but Seth really needs a win here so I’m going to give it to him. Riddle can get over without winning and a great showing against a guy the caliber of Seth Rollins will make Riddle look even stronger. I’m really excited for this match as I expect it to be a really good one with Seth “Freakin” Rollins walking out victorious.
WWE Undisputed Championship: (c) Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre
Winner: Roman Reigns
I’m going to go out on a limb here. Roman will retain his championships but that isn’t really going out on a limb is it? Bray “The Fiend” Wyatt will come out after the match and stare down Roman as it goes off the air. I think Roman wins a hard fought match and I honestly do have a little worry about this one. Drew has looked rejuvenated since the change in WWE and I honestly think he’s the biggest threat to Roman so far. I am a die hard Fiend fan so that helps but with all the rumors and the story with Roman already there. There is also the possibility of Kross costing Drew. But one way or the other Roman Reigns will leave Cardiff still Reigning Defending Undisputed WWE Champion.
