3. Controversial CM Punk Interview (AEW Collision aftermath).

CM Punk interviewed with ESPN before the debut of AEW Collision on TNT.

He addresses a variety of circumstances & how his injuries affected him mentally and getting hurt following his second match back after recovering from a broken foot in June-2022. Punk – two-time AEW Champion, missed close to a year due to tearing his left triceps tendon off the bone occurred versus Jon Moxley at All Out last year & required surgery & He’s back feeling 100% percent now.

Punk discussed the turmoil between himself and The Elite stemming from that infamous media scrum & this divisiveness started in the spring of 2022. Revealing that Adam Page would deliver something off-script during an in-ring promo segment of Dynamite leading into the May Double or Nothing PPV. Page went against what the two discussed before that segment. Promo quotes by Page, ” You talk a big game about workers’ rights ” and ” Well, you’ve shown the exact opposite since you got here & how Hangman loves AEW, confused fans as I was a babyface (good guy), said Punk.

Regarding Page’s promo, He accused Punk of getting Colt Cabana fired from AEW & the two had a public falling-out years before Punk emerged in the company. Punk denied it, concerning his injury that caused the All-Out match vs. Jon Moxley to be garbage. Punk regretted what transpired at the Media Scrum and has apologized to Tony Khan. Speaking about AEW Collision, more wrestlers like Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks will receive more television opportunities.

Punk also commented he felt Hangman was shooting- meaning working extra stiff on him by chopping him intentionally in the mouth. Naturally, Nick Jackson responded on his Instagram story, ” Not only is he good at wrestling, but he’s an even better human being. “
