AEW World Champion Jon Moxley gives his verdict on WWE Thunderdome concept. Moxley slams the unique concept introduced by WWE and compares it to a zoom call.

During an interview given to Wrestling Observer Radio, Moxley harshly criticizes the entire concept of the WWE ThunderDome. He believes that WWE, as a company, needs to understand where its core problem lies. A lavish arena with LED screens and other extravagant features is not going to help the company solve its problem.

“So this book was written in 1953 by a guy named Ray Bradbury. It’s kind of like a dystopian kind a thing, kind a like 1984. But he basically predicts in 1953 what 2020 will be like. It’s trippy. If you read it, you’re like ‘woah’. The firemen, they burn books cause they don’t wan people to be literate or smart or think for themselves. They just want to feed them with all this, like mindless entertainment.”

“The ThunderDome made me think of it. Cause this is in the 50’s before computers and social media but he kind of imagined what it will be like. The thing was like your ‘family in the parlour wall’. So like, in your living room the wall will be filled with all these faces that you communicate with and hangout with. Kind of like what social media is now. And that’s exactly what the ThunderDome looked like ‘oh my god, it’s the thing from Fahrenheit 451 come to life.”
