Matt Riddle still wants Brock Lesnar for a one on one match.

Though Lesnar made it clear that he will never work with ‘The Original Bro’ when they come face to face at the backstage of Royal Rumble this year.

But Riddle keep pushing the ‘Beast’ for a match, Riddle promised to retire Lesnar some days later. In an interview given to Ariel Helwani that he will change the mind of the naysayers and will face Lesnar one day.

Riddle said “[He] basically said, ‘We are never going to work’, so I shouldn’t be putting his name out there, talk about him or call him out on social media,” Riddle explained to Helwani. “What am I going to do? He’s Brock Lesnar. I get it. You don’t want to work with me and I offended you. All I can do is change your mind. That’s it.”

Riddle said that although he’s now going to stop pestering Brock for the bout, his own mind has not changed, concluding, “I still want to work with him.”

So is their spat genuine, or are they playing the long game? Triple H, speaking on a recent conference call, didn’t rule it out. “Who knows?” he mused. “We’ll see where it goes.”

Matt Riddle made his debut on Smackdown this past week and Lesnar has not appeared on WWE TV since he lose his Universal Championship at Wrestle mania 35 against Drew McIntyre.
