WWE changed Matt Riddle’s name & now he will be called just ‘Riddle’. This came up as a surprise for many fans that why WWE decided to change ‘The Original Bro’ name. Now, reports are suggesting a very interesting reason behind this name change.

According to the report of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE changed Matt Riddle’s name because they don’t want that people will search his full name & saw some articles related to his alleged sexual assaults lawsuits.

The company made the decision to drop Matt Riddle’s first name, and now he’s just “Riddle.” The story was that they wanted to not have people google “Matt Riddle” and come up with the details of the lawsuit against him and WWE. The decision was made on 10/29 and Riddle said he was fine with it and even preferred it saying Riddle is his name and he’s been called it for most of his life

If you search Riddle in Google, the results are quite different & you will see many results related to famous Batman Arch-nemesis Riddler. This is quite a unique strategy to hide Riddle’s negative image which surfaced online after the allegations made by his ex-girfriend Candy cartwright.
