WWE has completed the Big 4 PPV’s of 2020 during the pandemic. Now, we are heading to next year & it’s time for the Royal Rumble in January 2021. Royal Rumble is the beginning of ‘Road to Wrestlemania’. Now, WWE is considering a very unique finish for next year women’s Rumble match.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez discussed about WWE consdering an inventive finish for the Women’s Royal Rumble match. The finish of the match will likely to be similar to the finish of the 5 on 5 Women’s elimination match, where Lana becomes the sole survivor despite not participating in the match.

“I can tell you this that they’ve been considering doing that finish for years, not with anybody in particular. It comes down and there are two guys left and number 30 hasn’t come out yet and the last two guys eliminate themselves and then number 30 saunters down to the ring and wins, and you know, I’ve heard the idea before. I don’t know if they’ve actually considered doing it, but people there have told me the idea.”

Thanks to Ringside News for the transcription.

He further noted that Lana could take the #30 spot in the rumble & wins the match without doing anything. This idea was pitched when Daniel Bryan has to compete in the rumble despite being medically uncleared & wins the match without taking any bumps.

It’ll be quite interesting to see, if WWE will pull this off for next year’s rumble. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below, if you like this unique idea.
