Reports: Backstage update on John Cena & Brock Lesnar return at Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar & John Cena has not been seen on WWE Television since Wrestlemania 36. Lesnar contract has been expired last year and his merchandise has been pulled as well from the WWE online stores. Cena recently appeared on a Wrestlemania announcement video. Now, Royal Rumble is quite close and rumors and speculations are on fire that who will return at the Rumble.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Brock Lesnar is not under contract with WWE and he is not scheduled to appear at Royal Rumble.
The only thing we do know is Lesnar is not under contract nor scheduled for the show at this moment,
According to Ringside News, John Cena is currently at Vancouver, Canada for the shooting of his upcoming Peacemaker spin-off series. The location might be the issue for Cena’s return at the Rumble as travel restrictions from USA to Canada are a bit strict. A 14 days quarantine time is required on Canada’s end. They also announced today that a negative COVID-19 test is required now before anyone can enter Canada.
We have to wait and see if Cena will appear at the Rumble via satellite to hype the show. As of now, Lesnar and Cena both are unlikely to return at Royal Rumble.
