John Cena has not been in the ring since his loss to Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 36 last year in a Firefly Funhouse match. Cena was supposed to make his return for Wrestlemania 37. But due to travel restrictions he was unable to to do. Now, Cena himself confirms his eventual return to WWE down the line.

During The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, John Cena was asked about his WWE return. Cena confirmed that he will be in the ring again eventually, but for the time being he is in Vancouver shooting the Peacemaker spin-off.

“Oh yeah, I will [be back in WWE]! I just, unfortunately, you know… the state of the world, I mean, I’m not sitting there on the couch next to you. It’s a difficult and unpredictable time, and right now, I’m doing this. I’m filming ‘Peacemaker’, and that’s going to take a lot of my time, and I can’t bounce back and forth due to international restrictions. So at least for the time being, I’m here, and I’m still away from WWE, but I very much look forward to returning as soon as I possibly can.”

Recently, Cena appeared in a hilarious ‘Wrestlemania report’ video by WWE where they announce the locations of Wrestlemania 37, 38 & 39. Now, the champ himself confirms that he will be back in WWE so we just have to wait and see when can we see Cena back in action.
