AEW Revolution was a good pay per view but the main event of the PPV was quite underwhelming. The ending of the main event was quite a dud which no one expected and fans left the arena with a bad taste in their mouth. Now, AEW is set use the botched ending of the main event as a part of the storyline.
Kenny Omega beats Jon Moxley in a exploding barbwire death match and after winning the title Omega and his allies ran away as ring were set to explode as per the rules of the match. Eddie Kingston ran down to save Moxley and when the timer goes off, it was just sparkles from the ringpost and cheap explosions at the ringside. However, Kingston sells it quite hard but it was full of cringe.
After the match, Jon Moxley cuts a promo on Omega and said: “Kenny Omega may be a tough son of a bitch, but he can’t make an exploding ring worth a shit.”

During the media call following the PPV, Tony Khan addressed the botched ending for the main event. He said that they are turning this into a storyline where Kenny Omega can’t build an exploding ring.
The Wrestling Observer noted on Twitter:
Tony Khan says they are uploading the video of Moxley saying Omega can’t build a ring worth a sh*t to YT. Says he’s not sure what people expected outside actually blowing guys up. Omega building a dud is the story. Khan didn’t say or imply there was a misfire. ^JN

We have to wait and see how AEW will comeback after this dud ending of a great show on Wednesday night Dynamite.

Turning it into a storyline is the only way to fix that, however the commentators overselling the sparklers and acting as if Moxley and Kingston has been through a shelling similar to those storming the Normandy Beaches cannot be unheard. “He could’ve been killed” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 There are bigger pyros when Gillberg comes out.
