AEW Rampage Full Results – August 13th, 2021
Kenny Omega (c) w/Don Callis Vs. Christian Cage – IMPACT World Championship
The ref didn’t even ring the bell to start the match. Both guys goes back and forth at the start of the match. Christian hits a baseball slide on Omega. Don distracts Christian and Omega takes advantage of the situation and takes control of the match. Christian fights back with a sunset flip power bomb followed with 20 punches.
Omega hits a moonsault on Christian for a two count. Christian hits the inverted DDT for two count. Omega hits a power bomb followed with a V-trigger. Omega tries to execute One winged Angel but Cage counters. Omega goes for V-trigger one more time but Cage moves and hits Omega with a spear for two count.
Omega hits a snap dragon suplex on Cage followed with another snap dragon suplex. Cage hits a frog splash for two count. Don distracts the ref and Omega hits a low blow and calls the Bucks. Bucks brings a chair and Omega tries to hit his finisher onto the chair but Cage counters it and hits the Unprettier on the chair to pick up thei victory.
Winner & NEW IMPACT World Champion: Christian Cage
Miro (c) Vs. Fuego Del Sol – TNT Championship
Before the ring bells Fuego hits the Tornado DDT on Miro and as soon as the ring bells Fuego hits another Tornado DDT but Miro slides outside the ring. Miro somehow beats the ref count but Fuego again nailed him with the third Tornado DDT for a nearfall. Miro gets angry and hits him with a Samoan drop followed with a kick. Miro locks him in the Accolade as Fuego taps out.
Winner: Miro
After the match, Sammy Guevara music hits and he came out with Tony Khan who gives Sammy a contract for Fuego. Sammy offers the contract to Fuego and both men hugs each other.
Britt Baker D.M.D (c) w/Reba Vs. Red Velvet – AEW Women’s Championship
Match was pretty good and it was really a homecoming for Baker. Baker was being cheered throughout the match in spite being a heel. Velvet takes Baker to her limit and match was stellar. Baker locks Velvet in the Lockjaw and Velvet taps out.
Winner: Britt Baker D.M.D
After the match, Baker attacks Velvet again, Kris Statlander makes the save but Jamie Hayter joins Baker to attack Velvet and Kris. Baker stomps Velvet on the title and poses with Jamie to close the show.
