During this past year Impact wrestling seem to have been in another rebuild situation when it comes to
both Tag team divisions. Impact lost the North and The Motorcity Machine Guns at the beginning of the
year (through Page departing and Shelly having to step back), this did leave a slight gap with only the
Good Brothers as a really established team within the Impact roster although they did have a few teams
enter from other companies through the forbidden door) in the men’s division.

The Knockouts division too felt like they were also in the same position. They had a fantastic tournament
at the beginning of the year, yet following the tournament only 2 of those teams went on to really put a
mark in the Knockouts Tag Team division (that being Fire N’ Flava and Havok and Nevaeh).
Since then the Knockouts division has seen a lot of changes and there is a very good chance with how a
few story lines are going, Impact could be looking to make a big push with both Tag divisions. The men’s
division does need it a little more, as the Knockouts have seen a growth in teams recently. However that
doesn’t mean this is the end for the Knockouts Tag Teams. So lets have a look at who Impact may be
looking to add into the Tag Team, or Knockouts Tag Team division?

5. Unlikely Alliances

Ever since coming into the company at Rebellion W. Morrissey has been on an absolute tear, every
opponent lined up Morrissey would just knock down and he seemed to know absolute no boundaries.
That was until Eddie Edwards got the better of him recently at Homecoming, since then Morrissey has not
really had the same momentum he had prior.

The same kind of story can be told of Moose. He is a wrestler who is often on a complete tear but then
goes into one match, then comes away with a loss (after a lot of big talk) and it seems to halt his
momentum sadly. Moose especially has been focused around the World Title for the past few years but
has been on a very stop, start journey to where you really don’t know when he’ll get going.

While this Alliance may feel like it has come a little out of left field, it does feel like it’s a good decision
for both men. Impact are able to pull Moose away from the World Title a little and also keep him and
Morrissey relevant, also as Moose stated (for now) it’s an alliance, so they can come and go as a duo as
they please which Impact could play to their advantage. However as a tag team, these 2 could be
incredible and the name “The Alliance” is a pretty interesting name too.
