The Attitude Era illustrated a resurgence in pro-wrestling. Who knew that of all people, Vince McMahon’s ambitious disposition would make him the industry’s most execrated villain? Then it was established as WWF, and creative liberty persisted throughout this historical time. Every antagonist needs a savior to face. Stone Cold Steve Austin fits that description. Their iconic feud highly surpassed expectations.

Steve Austin found superstardom in 1996. He expressed his authentic side by embracing the Stone Cold character that resembles who Austin was. Crowds ubiquitously backed a new kind of hero. Mr. McMahon didn’t want someone like Stone Cold to represent the organization. Austin questioned authority & this legendary phrase Austin 3:16 came about during a promo he cut on Jake “ The Snake “ Roberts at what constituted vindication for Stone Cold at King of the Ring 96.

The dawning of a transcendent history:

WWF Championship Match/ Survivor Series 1997, The Montreal Screwjob incident saw McMahon requesting that referee Earl Hebner stop the match between Shawn Michaels & Bret Hart after “‘HBK “ locked in The Hitman’s finishing hold (Sharpshooter) & it ended controversially. Michaels won the World Title Hart was visibly upset concerning this outcome. McMahon’s argument detailed the possibility of Bret taking the Championship to WCW! Mr. McMahon evolved from Bret departing WWF. A special one-on-one interview with Jim Ross was shown via Monday Night Raw afterward, where Vince said, “ Bret screwed Bret. “

Austin’s climactic climb to legendary status progressed from 1998 through 1999. The Texas Rattlesnake thrived while raising hell & outsmarting his corporate enemies. Stone Cold survived to win after eliminating The Rock at Royal Rumble (1998). Mainstream media platforms covered Austin confronting Mike Tyson during the boxer’s appearance on January 18, 1998’s edition of Raw. DX & Tyson joined forces, and Stone Cold opposed Champion Shawn Michaels ( WrestleMania XIV). Thanks to Iron Mike betraying HBK, this assisted Austin in winning the match. The Austin Era began:

It’s a Stone Cold Takeover; (March 9th, 98) the newly crowed Title-holder demanded respect & called out Vince. Eventually, he held Raw hostage. All through 1998, the WWF owner tried changing Austin. McMahon desired conformity for his new world champ. No one could make Steve Austin be anything but himself. Viewers witnessed the two go face-to-face. The genesis of Dude Love (Mick Foley) versus Stone Cold factored in here. Anybody paired with Vince is advisory if you’re The WWF Champion. Austin even fooled his boss & Stooges, Pat Patterson, & Gerald Brisco into getting arrested.

Unforgiven: In Your House & Over The Edge: In Your House both elevated Stone Cold’s & Vince’s story further. Numerous pay-per-view main events added more intrigue to this rivalry. Undertaker & Kane became intertwined, and Shane McMahon also was pivotal. Austin fights McMahon inside a steel cage (St. Valentine’s Day Massacre 1999). Paul Wight debuted by aligning with McMahon, but as Wight threw Austin into the structure, it gave way to helping Stone Cold win.

The go-home edition of Raw before WrestleMania XV featured this notable segment; Austin drove a beer truck to the ring & sprayed Rock, Vince, & Shane with Beer. Austin cemented his legacy after defeating Rock at WrestleManias VX, as he won his third championship. Later, Stephanie & Linda McMahon named Austin CEO of WWF. Stone Cold faced Vince in a “ First Blood “ match appearing in (Fully Loaded 99). Stone Cold was victorious because X-Pac interfered. The stipulation depicted these scenarios if Austin lost, he would never wrestle for the World Title ever, but if Austin won, McMahon exited WWF!

It is pretty evident why any wrestling fan should pick Austin versus McMahon!
