CM Punk is one of the most celebrated wrestlers in pro wrestling industry. Despite he didn’t wrestle one single match since his departure from WWE in 2014, he still one of the most popular wrestlers around the globe and almost every now and then his return rumors circulated on the internet.

When he joined WWE Backstage as a panelist, everyone thought that now is the time that Punk will be back on WWE but unfortunately it didn’t happen.

Former WCW Star Konnan revealed on Keepin’it 100 podcast that Punk was negotiating with AEW, but they didn’t sign him because he wanted an ‘Astronomical amount of money’ to join the company. Although, AEW was very keen to work with Punk but his demands couldn’t be met and the deal fell through.

Now WWE Backstage have been cancelled, it’ll be interesting to see that where CM Punk will go.
