2. The Knockouts- Speculation Ends. Another Match Begins!
This week we had a match between Rosemary & Havok, I’d expected that Rosemary would lose (as bitter of an idea that was to put forward for this Hiveling) so Havok would be added to this match as the stipulation of this match had fooled us all into thinking was exactly what was going to happen. After a pretty fast paced match Rosemary would defeat Havok, leaving the upcoming match at Against All Odds as it was intended. But Havok’s loss wasn’t a wasted opportunity for our Hive Queen to once again try to get her on side, join her with Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus to be apart of Decay. While Havok still seemed overwhelmed by the loss, once again another blow to her seat at the table of challengers against our Knockouts Champion, she would be attacked with Rosemary once again by Deonna Purrazzo, Kimber Lee & Susan, who then demanded that Fire ‘n’ Flava come out so Tasha Steelz could have her match against Kimber Lee.
Fire ‘n’ Flava would come out for the scheduled match & Tasha Steelz would once again gain another win for her team. Leaving a lot of momentum trailing behind them as they go into Against All Odds, with all expectations in their favour. But as you’d expect. Susan didn’t long to erupt into a fit of rage & along with Deonna Purrazzo another 3 on 2 assault would break out only this time, something I’d been waiting for but not expected so soon would happen when Rosemary & Havok returned post match to obliterate all the remaining Knockouts, the Double Chokeslam to Kiera Hogan reserved for use by members of Decay, in tribute to our original (Beautiful) Monster… Abyss! Has Havok joined Rosemary? If she’s in her corner this Saturday, we’ll finally find out!
One of the other factors about Against All Odds (compared to every Impact+ Special since they returned in October 2020) is that the matches on the card were 1 or (at most) 2 lighter than usual, in 2021 every special has had 8 or 9 matches & up until Friday morning, we had 7. So one expectation was because there is a 5-way X-Division match, 2 Tag Title Matches & a huge main event, the card was a little lighter to give everyone more time. But, my assumption was also based on either Sami Callihan or Havok being added to respective title matches so when we came to “All About Me” with our guest Tenille Dashwood bring Rachael Ellering on (as announced last week) to “host” this show, much to Racheal Ellering’s confusion.
The lighter card this Saturday opened the option of Jordynne Grace vs. Rachael Ellering (where I’d seen this story between all 3 Knockouts headed with a Heel Turn from Grace) now at Against All Odds instead of a week later, but as this segment between everyone developed & Ellering kept trying to hammer home that she’s not interested in working with Tennile, Jordynne Grace would stop all the mind games & petty antics by throwing down the challenge to Tennile Dashwood this Saturday. This now adds all currently active Knockouts on the roster (excluding Taylor Wilde) onto Against All Odds in some form or the other (assuming Havok comes out with Rosemary).
Who wins between Grace & Dashwood? Given the string of losses, the odds are in favour of Tennile Dashwood. But, this being Against All Odds & currently suffering a 4-5 match losing streak (in single’s & 2 on 2 tag team matches) I’d put my vote on Jordynne Grace winning. Do any of the above events between Havok, Rosemary & Deonna Purrazzo shift my expectations onto crowning a new Knockouts Champion? As much as I’d love to say “Yes” (and as much as Rosemary deserves another run as Champion), sadly I still see Deonna Purrazzo winning or keeping the title by disqualification after the beatdown Kimber Lee & Susan had taken from the Kaiju Queen & our Hive Queen this Thursday.
