Breaking news to report via CBS News! The yearly Sports-Entertainment extravaganza returns to one of America’s famous cities as Philadelphia hosts WWE WrestleMania 40. The company has officially declared that on Saturday, April 6th & Sunday, April 7th, 2024. This two-day affair marks an incredible milestone. WWE is celebrating its 40th anniversary concerning WrestleMania! It emanates live from the Philadelphia Eagles’ home-Lincoln Finacial Field.
Wrestlemania 40 was last held in “ The City of Brotherly Love “ back in 1999. WrestleMania XV had culminated inside the Wells Fargo Center, previously named First Union Center. In efforts to make Mania feel even more extraordinary. WWE has brilliantly shifted from NBA arenas to NFL stadiums. WrestleMania XV’s seated a projected 19,514. That prediction should exceed 80,000 at WrestleMania 40!
WWE executive vice president John Sanboor stated this in an official press release, “ On behalf of WWE, we are thrilled to bring WrestleMania back to the City of Brotherly Love. “ He continued, “ We thank all of our local partners who were integral in making this long-awaited return a reality. “
We know that WrestleMania 39 originates live from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California when Mania goes Hollywood next year in 2023.
