As previously reported, WWE & Rey Mysterio are very close to sign a new deal. But, AEW tried very hard that the ‘Master of 619’ joins their promotion.

According to the reports by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW did match the offer given by WWE to Rey Mysterio for per match appearance but the issue was that WWE offered far more appearances for Mysterio than All Elite Wrestling.

AEW made an offer that equaled the WWE’s per-match offer, but the WWE offer was higher because it was for more dates.

Mysterio’s son is already involved in a storyline with Seth Rollins and set to debut at WWE’s Big PPV SummerSlam. He still didn’t sign the contract officially but if we see the reports and scenario, he’ll be likely to stay with WWE only.
