Kenny Omega shocked the pro wrestling world by aligning himself with IMPACT Wrestling President Don Callis. He is appearing on IMPACT & AEW both. Currently, he has been booked as a belt collector & it’s quite clear that we will see Omega Vs, Swann for the IMPACT World Title down the line. Now, reports revealed the original plans for Omega’s heel turn.

According to the report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan for the current storyline was suggested by Don Callis back when Omega & Hangman Page were a team. Plans was to turn Page heel, but it was changed due to fan’s reaction.

AEW understood that the team is getting over & plans got a bit delayed due to the pandemic. Now, Omega is in the form of invading force for IMPACT Wrestling & reports are suggesting that he is likely to headline several IMPACT pay-per-views down the line.
