(Report) Backstage plans for Reigns Vs. Lesnar at Crown Jewel

Universal Champion Roman Reigns is set to defend his title against the ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar at WWE’s upcoming pay-per-view Crown Jewel. Lesnar shocked the pro wrestling world when he made his return at SummerSlam 2021 and confront Reigns after his match with John Cena. Now, reports are suggesting that WWE have huge plans for this match.
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lesnar and Reigns are set to have one more match and most likely we will see the rematch in Wrestlemania 38. The question is who will walk out with the title at Crown Jewel.
From what we understand, and what makes sense, is this is not a one-and-done program. For one, unless Dwayne Johnson is wrestling Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania, this would appear to be the biggest possible ‘Mania match. So the idea here is to build to a return, whether that means Lesnar wins to build to a rematch or some disputed decision takes place. There is also Paul Heyman in play as the storyline is written to tease that Heyman is a double agent and you don’t know who he will side with when all the chips are down.
With the involvement of Paul Heyman, the storyline becomes more interesting and if we noticed Heyman’s past, most of the times he betrayed the wrestlers he managed when it is least expected. So, it’ll be quite interesting to see the outcome of this epic showdown. We predict that Lesnar will win the title with the help of Heyman and then these two will have a rematch at Mania 38.
