Aalyah Mysterio and Murphy was having a romantic angle during the Mysterio family and Seth Rollins feud. But, after Seth Rollins took some time off from WWE television, the Mysterio family started feuding with King Corbin and the feud just abruptly ended.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE just dropped the storyline between Aalyah Mysterio & Murphy and there’s no explanation for that.

It was just an angle dropped. There’s no backstory or behind-the-scenes story on it. I guess they had no idea where to take it and thus dropped it. 

It was reported by Ringside news that Murphy is at the backstage of Smackdown from the past few weeks. But, WWE never used him and have no current creative direction for his character. 

Now, we have to wait and see how WWE will book Murphy from now on as Seth Rollins also returned to Smackdown last week and Murphy was the former disciple of Rollins before turning on him.
