(Report) Backstage update on John Cena’s return

John Cena has not been seen on WWE television since his loss to Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 36 in a Firefly Funhouse match. Recently, Cena appeared in a hilarious video with Triple H & Stephanie McMahon named Wrestlemania report. Now, reports are suggesting that WWE already finalized the day of 16 time World Champion.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via CageSide Seats), WWE is currently planning for Cena to appear on their first show back with live fans. Cena has so many Hollywood projects in his hand but still he is very keen to make a return to WWE.

It’s almost a year and half that WWE is running shows in their Performance center due to pandemic. Later, WWE introduced a unique concept on Thunderdome where they took stadiums on lease and set a virtual surroundings of fans. Wrestlemania 37 was the first event of WWE after pandemic when we saw the live fans back in the arena. Now, they already announce the return of live fans from July 2021.

Now, we have to wait and see when Cena will make his return. Road to SummerSlam is set to start from July and this is the time when WWE bring out huge ideas and we see many returns during this season.
