Sami Zayn is one of the most underrated wrestlers in WWE. Whenever he gets a chance he steals the spotlight from everyone but unfortunately WWE doesn’t gave him enough chances yet. Recently, Zayn’s best friend Kevin Owens re-signs a multi year deal with WWE and rumors started circulating about the contract status for Zayn. Nothing has been confirmed yet but here’s some update on Zayn’s contract status.

According to Ringside News, Zayn has come to terms on a new deal as WWE writers were given the green light to pitch long term ideas for him.

“Sami Zayn’s current contract status is a big talking point and we have some evidence he re-signed. It was not 100% confirmed he inked a new deal, but it appears he did agree to terms. The writing team was told they “could keep coming up with long term ideas for Sami.”

Zayn was recently involved in an angle with Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Brock Lesnar. Fans speculated that he might be the wild card entry in Reigns Vs Lesnar match at WWE Day 1, but unfortunately, he’ll be a part of 12 man #1 Contender’s Gauntlet match for the IC title this week on Smackdown.
