WWE had a very good relationship with Japan and we already witnessed some live shows at Japan as well. Former WWE Star Kairi Sane was one of the key members for WWE for the expansion of NXT in Japan. Then, the pandemic hits and WWE decided to disband their Japanese Division. Now, reports are suggesting that there’ll be no more broadcasting of WWE shows in Japan.

According to J Sports, Monday Night RAW and Friday Night Smackdown broadcasts will end in Japan this year. In addition to that, video on demand will also be ending in January next year.

Many fans feel NXT’s new direction is a few steps backwards as far as the development of the brand is concerned. We have to wait and see what WWE will do to continue their broadcast in Japan. But, one thing is for sure that if the broadcast is set to stop then it’s a huge blow to WWE because their competitor have a great relationship with NJPW and we already witnessed several stars from NJPW entering the forbidden door.
