Adam Cole already shocked the pro wrestling world when he debuts at AEW All Out and aligned himself with ‘The Elite’. Before he debuted on AEW there were lot of rumors about him re-signing with WWE and his main roster call up. Several reports suggested that there’s no huge push planned for Cole on the main roster. Now, finally the original plans for Cole on WWE’s main roster has been revealed.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE wanted to turn Adam Cole into a heel manager and pair him up with a heel Keith Lee.

“They were going to bring Adam Cole up, and turn Keith Lee heel and make Adam Cole his manager.”

Meltzer also noted that WWE might changed Cole’s name to avoid confusion with Michael Cole. They wanted to go with a “Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush” concept with a smaller guy who could talk and hide behind a huge client. It’s pretty obvious that Cole didn’t like this idea and decided to jump ship to AEW and we also think that was the right decision.

Cole is a top tier performer and no one even think about this that Cole will be a heel manager on the main roster.
